Thanks to those of you who continue to support my work. A teacher teaches what he needs to learn. My newest book, RECLAIMING VIRTUE: How We Can Develop The Moral Intelligence To Do The Right Thing, At The Right Time, For The Right Reason, was released in the Spring of 2009 and was Pulitzer nominated. The book touches on the polarization of religion and cultures of obedience that can be spawned by them. I believe it offers a solution to the deepest problems of our time.
I’ve spent a considerable amount of time working with corporate and mental health related sponsors, presenting well-received and time-tested workshops and lectures, including the famous experiential healing Inner Child work, as well as many other Special Lecture Topics. Please check out my Scheduled Events for workshops that may be in your area.
For more information about scheduling event, please contact my events staff at (713) 771-1300, eventsatbradshaw@aol.com or complete the Confidential Speaker Request Inquiry Form.
I continue to serve as a Senior Fellow at The Meadows, a ground-breaking, multi-disorder facility, specializing in the treatment of a broad range of addictions, in Wickenberg, Arizona near Phoenix. The Meadows has an extensive list of like-minded counseling professionals and treatments focusing on trauma, drug and alcohol addiction, compulsive behaviors (eating, gambling, work, sex, love addiction/avoidance), mood disorders (such as bi-polar disorder and depression) and anxiety disorders (including post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and panic disorder.) I present ten workshops with The Meadows around the country each year. I also serve as an Adjunct Professor at Southern Methodist University and teach post graduate students at the Annette Caldwell Simmons School of Education and Human Development at the SMU Center for Family Counseling. My courses on Homecoming and Family of Origin are required courses for graduate students receiving their masters in social work.
I have 51 newly digitized workshops and lectures in CD, DVD formatds and (soon) downloadable products in the John Bradshaw Media Group Library website and I thank each and everyone of you who have supported me along the way. Without you none of this would be possible.
This year, in addition to presenting the favorite emotionally healing spiritually awakening workshops and Experiential Intensive Workshops, I am also presenting several Newer Workshops and filming them for release in High Definition DVD. My new workshops include the latest research in four new areas:
• The Blocks To Rigorous Honesty,
• Emotional And Social Intelligence,
• The Neuroscience Of Inner Child Therapy: Why It Works So Well And How To Do It,
• The Primacy Of The Affect System: Strategies For Doing Feeling Work.
I no longer do private counseling and I am unable to provide any personal counseling or private referrals via the internet, you may find help in the Seeking Help section of my website. If you or a loved-one needs help, you may want to consider seeking help through a physician, qualified mental health care provider, social services, or a law enforcement agency. You may also contact a Crisis Hotline or seek help at a hospital emergency room or treatment center. If you are currently in therapy, please consult with your mental health professional before you use any of the experiential exercises contained in many of the workshop intensives. Help may also be available at: The Meadows • (800) 632-3697 • www.themeadows.org, The Center for Recovering Families • 713-914-0556, or The Council on Alcohol and Drugs Houston • 713-942-4100, (877) 777-8829 • www.Council-Houston.org. There is help out there and you must be diligent about seeking the help that you need. MENTAL HEALTH WARNINGS AND DISCLAIMERS.
As always, I appreciate your heartfelt support and interest in my work.
Love and light,
John Bradshaw
